In trade finance in 2018 the top ten banks (ranked by deal value) are all from the high-income countries as well as the top ten law firms in trade finance deals. In 2017, the top ten firms in global infrastructure finance (ranked by deal value) were all from the high-income countries. In 2016 in foreign exchange trading the top ten firms were all from the high-income economies, accounting for 67 per cent of the total amount traded. In 2017 the top ten global wealth managers between them managed US$ 6.8 trillion in AUM. Six of the top ten are United States based and all of the top ten are from the high-income countries. In 2014 the global custody industry had a total of US$ 123 trillion AUM, equivalent to 166 per cent of global GDP. The top four custodians accounted for 66 per cent of total global assets under custody. All of the top four firms are United States based.
